Lisa will give her new single “SaWaDiKa” its television debut at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards tonight. CBS and MTV confirmed the song choice when they announced the latest performers on September 17.

“SaWaDiKa” is the lead single from Lisa’s upcoming six-track EP “PRESS PLAY,” out October 23. Lisa released the song on September 3. Its Bangkok-shot music video collected more than 70 million YouTube views in its first 24 hours.

The song debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated September 19. That gave Lisa seven Hot 100 entries, tying Jennie for the most among female K-pop soloists.

Lisa enters tonight’s show with four nominations and 10 across her career. She is the most-nominated K-pop solo artist in VMA history. In 2022, she became the first K-pop soloist to win a VMA.

The ceremony airs Sunday, September 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET on CBS, simulcast on MTV and streaming on Paramount+ Premium. Snoop Dogg hosts.

Other performers include Madonna, who opens the show in her first VMAs performance in 23 years. Madonna leads all artists with 11 nominations. Nirvana will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
