Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business will have its world premiere at the Razor Reel Flanders Film Fest in Bruges, Belgium, becoming the first Indian action film selected at the European genre festival.

The festival runs from October 29 to November 7, and the sequel has been officially selected as part of its 2026 programme. The Razor Reel programming team discovered the film at the Marche du Film at Cannes 2026, where its raw action, international martial arts language and environmental core stood out.

Directed by Anshuman Jha, who reprises his role as animal-lover vigilante Arjun Bakshi, the film brings together Chinese martial arts star Sunny Pang and Thai icon Dan Chupong alongside Adil Hussain, Sarah Jane Dias and Vikram Kochar. It is the first official India-Indonesia co-production.

At its heart is the critically endangered Yaki monkey, whose population has fallen from nearly 50,000 in 1990 to fewer than 5,000 today, spotlighting illegal wildlife smuggling.

Festival director Patrick Van Hauwaert said watching the film felt like a journey back to the golden age of martial arts cinema, praising its hand-to-hand combat and urgent environmental message.
