Vijay's Jana Nayagan added Rs 7.25 crore in its third weekend, taking its India gross to Rs 223.75 crore in 17 days, according to Pinkvilla.

The political action drama, directed by H. Vinoth, collected Rs 178.75 crore in week one and Rs 37.75 crore in week two. Trade watchers expect the film to finish its India run around Rs 240 crore gross.

The film stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju and Bobby Deol alongside Vijay. Koimoi reported its India net collection at Rs 195.02 crore after three weeks, though the big-budget film remains a losing affair in India, it said.

The film has collected about Rs 143.75 crore in Tamil Nadu alone, plus Rs 28.75 crore from Karnataka and Rs 16.25 crore from Kerala, Pinkvilla reported.

Meanwhile, Lokesh Kanagaraj's DC — the director's acting debut — saw a Monday dip after a stronger weekend, with trade reports showing weekday collections slipping below Rs 1 crore.

The two Tamil releases are winding down at the box office as new films prepare to take over screens.
