DU’s AVASAR 2026 drive links 4,000 students with 85 recruiters

Delhi University hosted the second edition of its placement drive, AVASAR 2026, on October 7. More than 4,000 students registered for the event.

Over 85 organisations took part. The Central Placement Cell organised the drive under the Dean of Students’ Welfare. It ran from 9 am to 5 pm at the Multipurpose Hall in North Campus.

Recruiters spanned education, financial services, technology and social impact. SPRIX Japan, Teach for India, Kotak Life, PPG Foundation, Cambridge School and Muthoot Finance were among the participants. More than 85 top firms included multinationals, consultancies, NGOs and startups.

The highest annual package on offer exceeded Rs 10 lakh. The highest internship stipend reached Rs 60,000 per month. The drive was open to all DU students. Over 4,000 students from undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and distance programmes registered.

AVASAR was earlier known as Job Mela. Last year’s edition was held on October 8, 2025. The event helps students explore careers and connect with employers directly. The Central Placement Cell said it strengthens industry engagement.
