BPSC 72nd prelims postponed again, Oct 25 exam deferred
The Bihar Public Service Commission has postponed the 72nd Combined Preliminary Competitive Examination again. The exam was scheduled for October 25, 2026.
The commission has not announced a fresh date. Candidates must wait for a separate notification. They should rely only on the official BPSC website for updates.
This is the second postponement. The exam was first fixed for July 26, 2026. It was then moved to October 25. The October 25 date was tentative in the exam calendar. Now that too stands deferred.
The 72nd BPSC exam has three stages: preliminary, mains and interview. The preliminary test is an objective-type screening exam. Mains and interview decide the final merit. The exam covers 1,186 posts after a revision from 1,230.
Aspirants should continue their preparation. The commission will announce the revised date through official channels. BPSC earlier dismissed a fake notice on social media. Only the official website carries verified updates.
