Paramount Closes $110B Warner Bros Deal

Paramount Skydance has completed its $110 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery. The deal closed on Tuesday.
The combined company will be called Skydance. CEO David Ellison now controls one of the world’s largest entertainment firms.
The merger brings together Mission: Impossible, Harry Potter and DC Studios. It also unites CBS, CNN, Paramount+ and HBO Max.
Shares moved from Nasdaq to the New York Stock Exchange. They will trade under the ticker SKYD. Warner Bros Discovery shareholders got $31.02 per share in cash.
Settlements with US states and a writers union cleared the last legal hurdles. Ellison said the Skydance name keeps both studios’ identities intact.

It is one of the largest media mergers in history. Hollywood now has a new heavyweight. The merger reshapes the industry’s competitive landscape for years to come.
