NTPC Green Energy has operationalised 153.94 MW of solar capacity at its Kalasar Solar Energy Project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, effective October 1, 2026.

The capacity comprises the second part of 73.06 MW and the third part of 80.88 MW of the project. With this addition, the group’s installed and commercial capacity rises to 11,212.51 MW from 11,058.57 MW.

The Kalasar project is part of the 650 MW solar component of the 500 MW REMCL Round-the-Clock project being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy, the group’s arm. The project supplies clean power under long-term contracts.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy traded around Rs 90.79 on September 30, up about 0.89 per cent, as investors tracked the capacity addition.

The commissioning is part of the group’s broader renewable expansion, with several gigawatts of solar, wind and hybrid projects under construction across the country.

The company said the project strengthens its position as one of India’s largest renewable developers, with a growing pipeline of solar, wind and hybrid assets.
