Bharat Forge Seals Aerospace Deal with Pratt & Whitney Canada

Bharat Forge has signed a strategic agreement with Pratt & Whitney Canada to manufacture aerospace components, deepening India’s footprint in global aviation supply chains.
Under the deal, the Indian forging major will produce critical components for aircraft engines at its facilities, leveraging its precision manufacturing expertise. The partnership marks a significant step for India’s private sector in high-value defence and aerospace manufacturing.
Company officials said the collaboration reflects growing global confidence in Indian manufacturing quality and could open the door to larger orders. The deal aligns with the government’s push to make India a global manufacturing hub for aerospace.
Analysts said long-cycle aerospace contracts provide stable, high-margin revenue visibility for suppliers, and the Pratt & Whitney Canada tie-up strengthens Bharat Forge’s position in the segment.
Announced on October 5, the long-term contract covers mission-critical engine components to be made at Bharat Forge’s aerospace facility in India to aerospace-grade standards. Vice-chairman Amit Kalyani said the partnership advances India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities. The two companies had already announced plans for an advanced aerospace ring mill in Baramati, expected to be operational in 2026.
