A guided Russian aerial bomb struck an apartment building in Kharkiv early Monday, injuring 22 people including eight children, Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on Telegram.

The direct hit landed on a residential block in the Saltiv district, where several apartment buildings were damaged, according to city authorities. The injury count was revised upward as emergency teams treated the wounded through the morning.

Two children, a 12-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, were hospitalised, while six other children received treatment at the scene, local officials said. All 22 injured people have received medical assistance.

Ukrainian media reported that Russian forces carried out a double strike with guided aerial bombs overnight, also damaging buildings in the city’s Kyiv district.

Separately, a Russian drone hit a petrol station in Kyiv, city authorities said on Telegram, without giving further details. The attack came after a day of near-continuous Russian strikes across Ukraine that killed at least five people.
