Jaipur: The Viksit Bharat–Giramji Yojana has generated 3.29 crore employment days in Rajasthan since July, the Chief Minister's Office announced on September 25, 2026. The scheme provides wage employment to rural households across the state.

Officials said the programme has focused on creating durable rural assets, including water conservation structures, rural roads and community infrastructure. The employment days were generated through works sanctioned under the scheme's guidelines.

The state government has positioned the scheme as a key instrument for rural livelihood support, particularly during periods when agricultural work is scarce. District administrations have been directed to ensure timely wage payments to workers.

The CMO said monitoring systems are tracking work completion and payments in real time. The scheme is among the state's flagship rural employment programmes, and the government plans to expand its coverage in the coming months.

Officials said the scheme complements central rural employment programmes and has been particularly active in districts facing water stress. The state plans to geo-tag assets created under the scheme to improve transparency and upkeep.
