BPSC Postpones 72nd Preliminary Exam Again

The Bihar Public Service Commission has postponed the 72nd Integrated Combined Preliminary Examination. The exam was scheduled for October 25.
BPSC issued an official notice on October 8 announcing the postponement. This is the second time the exam has been pushed back; it was earlier moved from July 26 to October 25.
No fresh exam date has been announced yet. Candidates have been advised to watch the commission’s official website for updates.
The examination will fill around 1,186 to 1,230 vacancies across Bihar government departments. The selection process has three stages: preliminary exam, mains exam and interview.
The repeated postponements have frustrated lakhs of aspirants who have been preparing for months. Coaching centres and student groups have demanded that BPSC announce a firm new date soon.
The BPSC conducts the state’s biggest recruitment exams every year, drawing candidates from across Bihar and beyond. Any new date is likely to be announced at least a month in advance.
