Meta is expanding its Muse AI agent to small businesses, adding integrations with tools such as Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe and Canva to help owners run their operations and find new customers. The announcement was made on Tuesday as the Facebook parent pushes to diversify its revenue beyond advertising.

Muse for Small Business can connect with Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages and Meta ad accounts, as well as business tools including Asana, Box, Dropbox, Figma, Klaviyo, Notion, Slack and Zoom. Meta said the agent can work with a company's brand, storefront, books and customer records.

Importantly, Meta said Muse will not publish content, send messages or make purchases without the user's approval. The company said the agent is free for most uses, with subscription plans available for users who want additional features.

Muse launched earlier this month as a personal AI agent for tasks like shopping, travel booking, emailing and payments. Reuters reported the app topped free-app charts in the US and Canada, with Sensor Tower estimating about 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks. The business push follows Meta's Monday announcement of a new enterprise AI platform.
