Supreme Court to examine NEET-PG answer disclosure plea

The Supreme Court has agreed to examine a challenge to the NEET-PG policy of question-ID-only disclosure of questions, answers and candidate responses.

The plea raises concerns about transparency in the medical entrance exam. Candidates say they should get full question papers and answer keys, not just question IDs.

Some aspirants have alleged a mismatch of up to 100 marks in their results. These are allegations by the petitioners and have not been proven.

NEET-PG is the national exam for admission to postgraduate medical courses in India. Lakhs of doctors appear for it every year. Results decide who gets seats in government and private medical colleges.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences, which conducts the test, has defended its disclosure policy. It says the question-ID system is enough for candidates to check their responses.

The court's decision to examine the plea means it will now study the arguments in detail. The outcome could change how exam transparency works for medical aspirants.
