More than 70 motorcycles from Billy Joel’s personal collection will go under the hammer without reserve at the inaugural Rétromobile New York auction on November 20–21.

The sale, conducted by Gooding Christie’s, marks the first time the singer’s celebrated collection of vintage and custom bikes has been offered publicly. The lots span decades of motorcycle history.

Joel, a longtime motorcycle enthusiast, has amassed one of the most notable celebrity collections in the hobby. Offering them without reserve means every bike will sell regardless of price.

The auction is expected to draw collectors worldwide, with estimates and the full catalogue to be released ahead of the November sale.

Joel’s passion for motorcycles is well documented; he once operated a motorcycle restoration shop in Oyster Bay, New York. Celebrity vehicle collections have fetched strong prices in recent years, and auction houses expect the singer’s name to add a premium to several lots.
