Cerebras Systems will supply AI chips and hardware that can consume about 100 megawatts to startup Gimlet Labs. The companies announced the deal on Monday.

Gimlet will use the hardware to run its cloud computing business. It plans to sell fast AI inference to startups building products around artificial intelligence. Inference is the quick process by which a chatbot like Claude forms a reply.

Gimlet CEO Zain Asgar said speedy inference helps in areas like cybersecurity, voice apps and financial analysis. The startup will run frontier models that need huge computing power to work fast.

Cerebras will deliver its CS-4 systems, unveiled over the summer, over one to two years. Gimlet plans to offer the hardware in its cloud in 2027. Gimlet will maintain and run the systems after delivery.

Earlier this year, Cerebras signed a chip deal with OpenAI. Last year, Nvidia signed a licensing deal with Groq. The companies did not disclose the financial terms.
