The Khavda Renewable Energy Park in Gujarat's Kutch district has been assigned its own postal PIN code, 370246, along with a dedicated India Post delivery office, news agency reports said on September 27.

The new Khavda post office will provide Speed Post, parcel booking and delivery, post office savings products and India Post Payments Bank services, including Aadhaar-based digital banking. Until now, the area's mail was routed through a post office about 70 km away and the Kuran branch office.

The park is being developed by Adani Green Energy Limited and other developers, with the AGEL plant spread over about 538 sq km. More than 10 GW of renewable capacity is already operating at Khavda, and AGEL plans to reach 30 GW by 2029, according to the release.

Around 15,000 workers and staff live at the site, which also has healthcare, retail outlets and banking facilities. A dedicated PIN code matters for banking, insurance, logistics and e-commerce, since these services use PIN codes to fix their service areas.

Once complete, the Khavda park is expected to rank among the largest renewable energy projects in the world.
