Focus Features has released the second trailer for Werwulf, Robert Eggers’ medieval werewolf horror film, alongside an alternate reality game tied to the lunar calendar. The film opens in theaters on December 25, 2026.

The game, called Devoureth All Mankynde, runs across the full moons of September, October and November. During each full moon, fans get a 24-hour window to find a hidden sign on the film’s digital channels, decode it and submit the answer at DevourethAllMankynde.com. Players who complete all three moons are promised a mystery prize.

The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson as a farmer in 13th-century England cursed to become a werewolf, with Lily-Rose Depp, Willem Dafoe and Ralph Ineson also in the cast. Eggers co-wrote the script with Icelandic novelist Sjon. The official synopsis calls it a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within.

The Christmas Day slot mirrors Nosferatu, which also opened December 25 through Focus Features and became Eggers’ biggest box office success.
