Maddock Films has pushed its horror comedy Shakti Shalini from December 24, 2026 to March 2027. The move avoids a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s King.

King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is one of the most awaited films of the year. Releasing against it on Christmas would have been risky for any film.

Shakti Shalini stars Aneet Padda in the lead, with Vishal Jethwa, Viineet Kumar Siingh and Seema Biswas. Nana Patekar also appears in the film, reportedly one of his last screen roles.

The film is part of Maddock’s growing horror comedy universe, which has delivered several hits in recent years. The March window gives it a clearer run.

Christmas 2026 remains crowded, with Avengers Doomsday and Dune Part Three arriving on December 18 and Jumanji 3 on December 25. The shift looks like a smart call.
