Samsung Rolls Out One UI 9 With Galaxy AI Tools
Samsung has started rolling out the stable version of One UI 9, its interface built on Android 17. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Flip 8 will ship with it preinstalled.
The Galaxy S26 received the update in mid-September. The rollout has now reached the Galaxy S25, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 in South Korea, and is expanding to India, Europe and the US.
New features include My FanCam, Now Nudge, Call Brief and a thread view for Interpreter. Privacy Alerts warn users when apps access sensitive data.
The Galaxy AI suite gets deeper integration across the system, from calls to messaging to the camera.
The Galaxy S24 and select mid-range models will follow later in 2026. Samsung’s staged rollout means most users will see the update before the year ends.
One UI 9 also brings performance improvements and better battery management. Samsung promises four years of major updates for its flagship devices.
