The finalists for the 2026 Nikon Comedy Wildlife Awards have been announced. This year’s contest set a record with more than 10,000 entries from 112 countries.

Forty photos made the final list. They show animals in funny, surprising moments caught by wildlife photographers.

Among the highlights is Kevin Lohman’s “Are You Kidding Me.” It shows a squirrel tackling an owl in mid-air. Another favorite shows two bears play-fighting.

The awards celebrate humor in nature. They also raise awareness about wildlife and conservation.

The winners will be announced on December 8 in London. The charity partner this year is the Born Free Foundation.

The contest was started to show the lighter side of wildlife. It has grown into one of the most loved photo awards in the world.

The finalist photos will be shown in exhibitions. Fans can also vote for their favorites online, and the public vote adds to the fun of the contest.
