Delhi’s AI Pollution Command Centre: How It Will Work

The Delhi government has launched an Integrated Command and Control Centre that uses artificial intelligence to track pollution in real time, according to a government update compiled on Sunday.
The centre analyses air-quality data with AI to spot pollution hotspots as they form. This lets officials act faster instead of waiting for daily average readings.
More than 700 construction sites across the city are also under watch. The sites are monitored with AI tools and CCTV cameras to catch dust violations early.
Construction dust is one of the biggest sources of winter smog in Delhi. Rules already require builders to control dust, but enforcement has been patchy.
The AI centre is part of Delhi’s new technology-driven plan to fight air pollution. The city faces its worst air quality between October and January every year.
If the system works as promised, residents could see quicker crackdowns on polluting sites this winter. The real test will come when smog season peaks.
