Uttarakhand’s Final Voter Roll After SIR: Key Numbers Explained

Uttarakhand’s final electoral roll, published on October 3 after the Special Intensive Revision, lists 71.58 lakh voters, officials said. That is about 8 lakh fewer than when the revision began.
The state’s Chief Electoral Officer said the roll had 79.6 lakh voters when the SIR started on June 8. The draft roll on July 14 listed 71.33 lakh voters.
During the claims and objections window from July 14 to August 13, officials added 1,29,872 eligible voters and removed 1,04,708 names. The final count settled at 71,58,949.
The roll has 37,37,701 male voters, 34,21,036 female voters and 212 third-gender voters. It includes 72,656 voters aged 18-19 and 1,22,892 voters above 80. The state has 12,543 polling stations.
The Congress has disputed the figures. Party leader Manoj Rawat said the count was 85.19 lakh in January 2025, which would make the drop nearly 14 lakh.
Voters left out can still apply through Form 6 on the ECI-Net app or through their booth-level officer, officials said.
