Samsung unveils Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-on earphones

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Buds On, its first clip-on wireless earphones under the Galaxy Buds lineup. The company officially introduced them in South Korea a day after leaked images surfaced online.
The earphones use a clip-type design that sits around the ear instead of inside the ear canal. Samsung says it studied different ear shapes to position the speakers and battery, and the open design keeps users aware of their surroundings.
They run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S7 Gen 1 Sound Platform with a Class-D amplifier and deliver up to 9.5 hours of playback on a single charge. TwinBoost speakers handle the audio, with automatic volume adjustment and audio leakage reduction.
For calls, three microphones work with a bone-conduction vibration sensor to cut background noise. The earphones support Gemini Live, quick voice memos and head gestures. They are priced at KRW 299,000, about Rs 21,000, and go on sale in South Korea on October 27.
