Trump hints Iran link in flydubai cockpit attack

President Donald Trump said early indications suggest Iran may be linked to the co-pilot who attacked his captain aboard a flydubai flight.
Trump made the remarks to reporters at the White House on Thursday when asked about the incident on flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv.
He said the answer, based on what he was hearing, was yes, but added that officials were still working on it. He warned that the United States would hit Iran very hard if the link is confirmed.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Fox News it was too early to say whether Iran was involved. He said Israel would get to the root of the attacker and whether he had accomplices.
The co-pilot stabbed Captain Smit Machchhar on Wednesday and tried to crash the plane. Passengers and crew overpowered him after the injured pilot opened the cockpit door.
The attacker is being investigated in Saudi Arabia, where the plane made an emergency landing.
