Former Today host Karl Stefanovic has been named host of CPAC Australia’s 2026 national conference in Brisbane. The two-day event, CPAC NatCon 2026, will be held on October 10 and 11 at the Royal International Convention Centre under the theme “Unleash Australia’s Future.” CPAC Australia co-founder Andrew Cooper said there is an incredible amount of interest building for the conference. Stefanovic will host the event and conduct on-stage interviews with the three leaders of Australia’s conservative parties: Angus Taylor, Pauline Hanson, and Matt Canavan. The announcement follows Stefanovic’s departure from Nine, where he had been one of the best-known faces of the Today program. CPAC Australia described his role in the context of more than two decades as a television interviewer, noting his experience questioning prime ministers and premiers. Rather than appearing as another speaker, Stefanovic will operate as an interviewer and host for the political sessions. Cooper called the on-stage interviews with the conservative party leaders a highlight of the weekend program.
