What Is the Kerala Exalogic Case? A Simple Guide

A Kerala court order has shaken state politics. Here is the Exalogic case in simple terms.
Exalogic Solutions is an IT firm owned by Veena T, daughter of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. A mining company, CMRL, paid it crores between 2017 and 2020.
The Income Tax department flagged the payments. It said CMRL paid without getting real services in return.
The Enforcement Directorate alleges the payments total 2.78 crore rupees. Another filing cites 1.72 crore rupees.
Now the Kerala High Court has ordered an FIR. Justice A Badharudeen directed the case under the anti-corruption law.
The FIR names the Chief Minister, Veena T, and minister P A Mohamed Riyas. All deny wrongdoing.
The opposition wants the Chief Minister to quit. The ruling party says it will challenge the order.
The case began with tax raids. Documents seized then led to the ED probe. Courts have monitored it since.
The next hearing will set the probe's course. Both sides have hired top lawyers. The case remains the state's biggest political story.
