The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has launched a Digital Connectivity Rating Platform that lets people check and compare the digital connectivity ratings of buildings and properties. The platform, unveiled this month, works end to end, from rating to display, under the Rating of Properties for Digital Connectivity Regulations, 2024, which were amended in May 2026.

Users can search for a property by name, location or certificate ID and compare ratings across buildings. Each certificate carries a QR code, so the ratings can be verified quickly and digitally.

The system brings together property managers, rating agencies and consumers on a single platform. It is designed to encourage builders to invest in better in-building connectivity and to help buyers and tenants make informed choices. TRAI, which was established in 1997 and is headed by chairman Anil Kumar Lahoti, has positioned the initiative as part of a broader push to improve digital infrastructure in homes, offices and public spaces across the country.
