Musk asks if Ambani is ‘real boss of India’ over Starlink delay

Elon Musk has escalated his fight over Starlink’s delayed India launch, asking on X whether Reliance chairman Mukesh Ambani is the real boss of India. The posts came on October 7 and 8.
Musk alleged that certain oligarchs are blocking Starlink to protect a monopolistic chokehold. He said Starlink is licensed in over 165 countries and spent five years meeting Indian requirements. He did not name any company in his first post.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi replied, “Welcome to India, Elon. Wait till you discover the other guy.” Musk responded, “Thank you, Rahul. This is indeed troubling.”
BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar hit back, saying cronies ruled telecom under Congress rule. The Centre rejected Musk’s claims, saying rules are fair and non-discriminatory. It said security clearance from the Home Ministry is pending for all three satellite operators. The Centre has said three satellite operators are awaiting security clearance. The government has also denied favouring any company in the process.
