US-based AI platform Replit has acquired Atta, the Egypt-founded AI analytics startup, to bring business analysis into its coding agent. Announced on September 25, the deal’s value was not disclosed.

Atta’s co-founders Omar Shaik and Amine Ben Khalifa are joining Replit. The first integration is already live: users can upload a dataset or connect a data source in Replit chat and get interactive, AI-generated charts — from waterfall charts for revenue changes to heatmaps for retention.

The move extends Replit from building apps to interpreting the business data behind them, targeting teams that need analysis without writing SQL. Replit says its longer-term aim is to make analysis part of recurring work feeding presentations, internal tools and operational decisions. Atta’s founders bring experience from Apple and Adobe, with Shaik an early engineer on Apple Vision Pro and Ben Khalifa holding a PhD in machine learning. The acquisition was announced on Replit’s blog under the title ‘Putting business analysis in everyone’s hands’.
