Oppo K15s, K15x launched with huge batteries, 120Hz displays

Oppo has expanded its K15 series in China with the launch of the Oppo K15s and Oppo K15x. Both phones focus on battery life and durability rather than flagship cameras.

The K15s is the premium model. It has a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness. Inside is the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

The K15s packs an enormous 8,000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging. It has a 50-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. It also carries IP69K, IP68 and MIL-STD durability ratings.

The K15s starts at CNY 1,699 (around Rs 24,300) for the 6GB+128GB variant in a promotional period, and goes up to CNY 1,999 for 8GB+256GB.

The more affordable K15x has a bigger 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display with 120Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chip, a 6,500mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera and IP64 protection. It starts at CNY 1,399 (around Rs 20,000).

Oppo has not announced plans to launch either phone in India yet.
