OpenAI launches Meetings plugin for ChatGPT on Mac in beta

OpenAI has launched a Meetings plugin in beta for Pro and Business users of the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS.
Announced on October 6, the plugin turns ChatGPT into a meeting assistant. It listens through the Mac's microphone and system audio, so it works for both online calls and in-person discussions.
No bot needs to join the call. The plugin takes notes during the meeting and saves a personalised summary with suggested action items in ChatGPT Space. OpenAI says the audio is deleted once the notes are ready.
Users can keep notes private or share them with their team. They can also ask ChatGPT to turn the notes into follow-up work, such as drafting an email or updating a project plan.
The launch puts ChatGPT in direct competition with AI note-taking apps like Granola. Business users need their workspace administrator to enable ChatGPT Space and the plugin.
Support for Windows, iOS and Android is coming soon, while Enterprise access is in limited alpha. The plugin builds on ChatGPT's computer-use features in its Mac app.
