Odisha Clears ₹22,634-Crore SentraForge AI Data Centre Plan

Odisha has cleared a proposed 22,634-crore-rupee sovereign AI computing campus by SentraForge AI, marking one of the largest technology investments in the state’s history.
The High-Level Clearance Authority approved the 120 MW project at its 46th meeting on September 23, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. The campus is planned for Puri and could create about 2,320 jobs.
Hyderabad-based GVPR Engineers Limited is the core equity backer and execution partner. The company says it has committed 7,089 crore rupees in equity for the project.
The facility is designed for high-density AI compute, cloud platforms and data services, with a focus on sovereign, India-operated infrastructure for public agencies, financial institutions and enterprises.
The company targets initial services by mid-2027 and full facility readiness by December 2027. However, financing, power supply, hardware and customers still have to line up.
At the same meeting, the state cleared 27 projects worth a total of 2.47 lakh crore rupees, expected to create 50,162 jobs across 15 districts.
