Mozilla Festival Returns to Barcelona With ‘Wilding’ Theme

The Mozilla Foundation is bringing its annual Mozilla Festival back to Barcelona for the second consecutive year, in partnership with the City of Barcelona and as part of Open Tech Week. The festival runs from Wednesday, October 28 to Friday, October 30, 2026.
This year’s theme is ‘Wilding’. More than 2,000 builders, technologists, artists and activists from around the world will gather at the Recinte Fabra i Coats, a former textile factory, for over 200 interactive sessions, art installations and experiences exploring how communities and technologies can evolve together.
Poet, comedian and activist ALOK Vaid Menon will serve as the festival emcee. ‘The future of tech shouldn’t grow in a monoculture owned by a handful of companies. It should be open code, open governance, open doors,’ said Mozilla Foundation CEO Nabiha Syed. Speakers include Princeton professor Ruha Benjamin and inventor Gitanjali Rao.
