50 MEPs Targeted by Deepfake Porn, Report Finds

WIRED found that sexually explicit deepfake sites have targeted more than 100 politicians across Europe. The scale of the abuse is far larger than previously known.
The EU is now preparing a complete ban on some AI applications. Lawmakers say the deepfake campaign shows how AI abuse has entered mainstream politics.
Victims say the images are used to harass and discredit them. The report has renewed calls for platforms to remove non-consensual deepfakes faster.
