JanAI aims to bring AI to every Indian household

A new initiative called JanAI wants to bring artificial intelligence into 100 million Indian households. The idea is simple: AI should not stay limited to big cities and tech offices, but reach ordinary families in their own language.
The programme focuses on easy-to-use AI tools for daily needs. These include help with studies, farming advice, health information and small business support. The tools are being designed to work in Indian languages so that people who are not comfortable in English can also use them.
Supporters of the initiative say India has a chance to lead the world in using AI for the public good. With cheap data and a young population, the country could become a testing ground for AI that solves real problems.
The challenge will be trust and training. For JanAI to succeed, millions of first-time users will need simple guidance on how these tools work and how to stay safe while using them.
