HCLSoftware will acquire Croatia-based automation platform Robotiq.ai for about Rs 98 crore, or roughly $9 million. The deal strengthens HCLSoftware’s automation business in Europe.

Robotiq.ai builds robotic process automation tools that help companies cut manual work. The platform uses AI-driven workflows for tasks like data entry, billing, and document processing.

HCLSoftware said the acquisition will add new clients and skilled teams in Croatia and the wider European market. The deal is expected to close in the coming weeks, subject to customary approvals.

The move fits HCLSoftware’s plan to grow its automation and digital transformation portfolio. The company has been adding AI and automation products through a series of small acquisitions.

Analysts say mid-sized automation deals are rising as large software firms race to offer end-to-end AI tools. HCLSoftware says Robotiq.ai’s products will be integrated into its existing automation suite. Company officials said existing customers will see no disruption in service during the transition.
