OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Space, a Shared Workspace for Teams and AI

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Space, a shared workspace inside ChatGPT where people and AI agents can collaborate on documents, at its DevDay conference in San Francisco.
Space acts as a home for Pages, uploaded files and other work. Pages are editable documents that can be created from scratch or generated from ChatGPT conversations. Users can write, research, generate charts and create images inside them.
“Your pages and files all live together in Space, like they would in a drive,” CEO Sam Altman said. “But spaces feel alive.” Users can give a page instructions, such as checking a team channel and updating the page with what it finds.
Space replaces the Library feature for eligible accounts. Users can create personal or team spaces, organise content with folders and subpages, and share pages or entire spaces with collaborators who can view, comment or edit in real time.
The feature is available to Pro, Business and Enterprise users on the web and desktop apps. Collaborative slides and spreadsheets are coming soon.
Space was announced alongside Dots, OpenAI’s always-on AI agent co-workers, and more than 20 other products at DevDay on September 29.
