Grokipedia Gets New Look as Encyclopaedia Updates Resume

Grokipedia, the AI-generated online encyclopaedia from Elon Musk's SpaceXAI (formerly xAI), has rolled out a refreshed design with a new logo and a redesigned homepage.
The update, version 0.3, comes as content updates resumed in September after a freeze. Benji Taylor, head of design at SpaceXAI, led the redesign.
Grokipedia was launched as an open encyclopaedia built on Wikipedia's content, with the stated goal of offering articles with less bias than existing sources.
The platform uses AI to generate and update entries, positioning itself as an alternative to Wikipedia in the age of artificial intelligence.
The redesign is part of a broader push by Musk's AI ventures to build consumer-facing products around the Grok chatbot, which powers several of the group's apps and services.
The platform has drawn both curiosity and scepticism, with critics questioning whether AI-generated encyclopaedias can match the reliability of human-edited ones. SpaceXAI says human oversight and Wikipedia sourcing keep quality in check.
