Faraday Future to List Robotics Business at $200 Million

Faraday Future announced on Tuesday that it will combine its robotics business with AIxC at an approximate valuation of $200 million to create a standalone listed company. AIxC will be renamed FF EAI Robotics Ecosystem Inc and its Nasdaq ticker will change from AIXC to FFR effective September 30. The company said the move would give the robotics business a dedicated public-market platform and greater financing independence. Faraday Future said the robotics business had shipped 552 units cumulatively through the end of August and recorded about $1.52 million in cumulative revenue. In the second quarter, the business had an average gross margin of about 30.9 per cent on its robotics products. The deal marks Faraday Future’s continued shift from a pure electric-vehicle maker toward embodied AI robotics. Context: Faraday Future, founded in 2014, began as an electric-vehicle startup before expanding into embodied AI robots. Analysts will watch whether the standalone listing improves the unit’s access to growth capital.
