Shanghai Droi Technology has unveiled DroiClaw 3 alongside a wide-format smartphone. The Coolpad-made device will go on sale in China in October for RMB 999. The announcement was made on September 14.

The phone uses a wider 10:16 display. The company calls it the world’s first wide-format smartphone built for agentic AI. The extra screen space gives AI tasks more room for text, media and results.

DroiClaw 3 is positioned as an AI-native operating system. It interprets user intent and coordinates apps, tools and services for multi-step tasks. It adds support for app connections, task routing and security controls.

The system uses a hybrid edge-cloud design. Simple requests run on the device. Complex workflows route to the cloud. The company cites over 200 million historical installations of its software and more than 1,000 hardware and software partners. The wider body keeps familiar smartphone interactions while giving AI tasks more display room.
