OpenAI is offering a limited-time one-month free trial of ChatGPT Plus to select users in India, dropping the usual Rs. 1,999 monthly fee to Rs. 0 for eligible accounts.

The promotion gives access to higher usage limits, newer models, expanded memory, Sora-powered video generation and Codex, among other paid features.

To check eligibility, users must sign in to ChatGPT and open the subscription or upgrade page. If the offer applies, the Plus plan shows a Claim free offer button with the Rs. 1,999 price crossed out and Rs. 0 in its place.

The offer is account-specific. In testing, it appeared on an account that had never held a paid ChatGPT plan, while an account that had previously subscribed to ChatGPT Go saw only the standard Rs. 1,999 price.

Even with the free trial, OpenAI requires payment details at checkout, and the plan auto-renews at full price unless cancelled before the month ends. Users should review the renewal terms before activating.
