Broadcom Linked to $60 Billion AI Chip Financing Plan

Broadcom is linked to a $60 billion financing plan for AI chips and infrastructure involving Anthropic, according to a Moneycontrol report.
The reported structure includes a $42 billion senior debt tranche and $18 billion of junior debt led by Blackstone. The financing has been taking shape for weeks and has not yet been announced, so it remains a proposed deal rather than a done transaction.
The money would fund chip and data-centre infrastructure to meet surging AI demand. Broadcom is a key supplier of networking and custom AI chips. The report also flags customer concentration and the sheer scale of capital commitments around AI infrastructure as risks to watch.
Broadcom’s own numbers show why investors are paying attention. In its fiscal third quarter ended August 2, the company reported revenue of $29.59 billion, up 86 percent from a year earlier. Free cash flow was $13.67 billion. The stock gained 2.18 percent on the report, trading at 313.60 euros in Frankfurt.
Why it matters: AI infrastructure is now being financed at sovereign-debt scale. Deals like this show how the AI build-out is becoming financial infrastructure, not just a software race.
