BHIM app gets MyUPI AI assistant with nine features

The BHIM Payments App has got a new conversational AI assistant called MyUPI. It brings nine UPI support and safety features into one place.
NPCI BHIM Services Limited, a subsidiary of the National Payments Corporation of India, launched MyUPI at the Global Fintech Fest 2026. It sits under Quick Actions in the BHIM app.
Users can describe payment issues in everyday language. The assistant handles transaction history, complaint tracking, Autopay mandates, payee verification and fraud awareness.
Key tools include a Safety Switch to block a linked bank account if a phone is lost or a fraud is suspected. Users can also pause, resume or cancel Autopay mandates.
The assistant works in five languages: English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Bengali. More regional languages are planned. It is available round the clock.
All payment actions still need the user’s UPI PIN. NBSL chief Lalitha Nataraj called MyUPI a “proactive trust layer” for the app.
