Andhra Pradesh Police have launched a Centralised Drone Monitoring Portal for smarter policing. The portal gives authorised officers live feeds of police drones used in policing operations across the state. It was launched in Guntur on September 22.

Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta rolled out the portal with Guntur Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal on Tuesday. The system replaces separate drone streams with one central interface, improving coordination. It includes AI-powered monitoring and analytics for faster ground-level assessment.

The portal offers role-based access control, so permissions match each officer's organisational role. It is designed to improve situational awareness for field teams during operations. Police say it will help them respond to incidents more quickly.

A SafeStay AP app was launched alongside the portal in Guntur. The app gives police occupancy data from hotels and paying-guest stays across the state. It is aimed at improving safety and preventing crime through faster coordination. Both tools are part of the state's push for technology-driven policing.
