Airtel raises postpaid tariffs by Rs 50, adds free roaming

Bharti Airtel has raised its postpaid tariffs by Rs 50 from October 8, 2026. The new plans add one free international roaming trip every year.

The individual plan now starts at Rs 499 per month, up from Rs 449. The two-SIM family plan rises to Rs 749 from Rs 699. Three-SIM plans cost Rs 1,049. Four-SIM plans move to Rs 1,249 or Rs 1,449. The five-SIM plan is Rs 1,799.

The free roaming pack offers 5GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMS and free incoming SMS. It stays valid for five days. Customers can activate it at a time of their choice. On family plans, every member gets the benefit. Company sources told PTI the roaming offer is worth Rs 2,000.

Existing subscribers will move to the nearest higher plan within a month, the company said. Airtel told stock exchanges the new plans keep existing benefits like unlimited data and spam protection.

Shares of Airtel rose about 2 per cent after the announcement. Motilal Oswal kept its buy rating with a price target of Rs 2,250.
