UFC 335: Oliveira defends BMF belt against Lopes in December

Charles Oliveira will defend his BMF title against Diego Lopes in the main event of UFC 335 on December 12 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The UFC announced the fight during Saturday’s UFC 332 broadcast.
Oliveira, a 36-year-old Brazilian, claimed the symbolic BMF belt in March by beating Max Holloway on points at UFC 326. He is the UFC’s all-time leader in finishes and bonuses.
Lopes, 31, will make his lightweight debut. The fellow Brazilian lost two featherweight title fights to Alexander Volkanovski before knocking out Steve Garcia in June.
The co-main event sees former two-division champion Alex Pereira face Sergei Pavlovich at heavyweight. Pereira is seeking his first heavyweight win after losing to Ciryl Gane in June.
The card also features a middleweight bout between Joe Pyfer and Bo Nickal. UFC 335 will be the promotion’s year-end headliner.
Oliveira was expected to rematch Arman Tsarukyan in September but withdrew after the death of his friend and teammate Allan Nascimento. The BMF belt, created in 2019, honors the sport’s most fearless fighters.
