Top-ranked Texas beat No. 14 Tennessee 20-17 on Saturday at Neyland Stadium, according to AP. The Longhorns survived a road test in Knoxville to stay unbeaten.

Defensive end Colin Simmons tied a Texas program record with five sacks, a mark first set by Shane Dronett in 1990. Simmons also had eight tackles and a forced fumble. He is the first FBS player in 20 seasons to record five sacks against a ranked team, per ESPN Insights.

Simmons was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct after miming urination following a second-quarter sack of Faizon Brandon. Coach Steve Sarkisian called it "a bad football play." Simmons apologized after the game. "Charge it to the game," he said.

"We took him out, we addressed it and put him back in," Sarkisian said. "That can't continue as we move forward." The penalty gave Tennessee an automatic first down on a drive that ended without a touchdown.

Texas entered the game ranked No. 1 in the AP poll. The Longhorns are 4-0. Tennessee fell to 3-1 and 0-1 in SEC play.
