Northern Ireland vs Georgia: Group Leaders Host Winless Visitors
Northern Ireland host Georgia at Windsor Park on October 5, with a Nations League B Group 2 encounter kicking off at 7:45 PM local time.
Northern Ireland lead the group with seven points from three matches: two wins and a draw. They beat Georgia 1-0 away on September 25, drew 0-0 with Hungary, and thrashed Ukraine 3-0 on Friday, according to Sports Mole and Love Belfast.
Georgia are still searching for their first win and their first goal of the campaign, with only one point to show from three outings.
Georgia have also changed managers during the international break. Willy Sagnol was sacked and replaced by Ramaz Svanadze, who takes charge looking for an immediate response from his new side.
A win would strengthen Northern Ireland’s hold on top spot as the group stage progresses. Georgia, meanwhile, need points quickly to avoid being cut adrift at the bottom of the table.
