Chapman, Foulkes Ruled Out Of New Zealand’s T20 Series Vs India

New Zealand batter Mark Chapman and fast bowler Zak Foulkes have been ruled out of the T20 series against India due to injuries, New Zealand Cricket said on Friday.
Chapman suffered a left hamstring tear during the European T20 League last month and is expected to be available for the ODI leg of the tour. Foulkes injured his right hip flexor during a Canterbury training session, with no timeline yet set for his return to play.
All-rounder Josh Clarkson and fast bowler Blair Tickner have been added to the squad as replacements. ‘I’m gutted for Mark and Zak and I wish them both a smooth recovery,’ coach Rob Walter said, adding that the replacements were excited to be involved.
New Zealand host India in five T20s, five one-day internationals and two Tests, with the opening T20 in Christchurch on October 22. The white-ball tour is a key build-up for both sides ahead of a busy home season.
