India eye 3-0 sweep as Mullanpur hosts first men’s ODI today
India will look to complete a 3-0 series sweep when they face the West Indies in the third ODI at Mullanpur on Saturday. The match starts at 2:00 PM IST.
The Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh hosts its first-ever men’s ODI. The venue has earlier hosted women’s ODIs, men’s T20Is and a Test.
India have already sealed the series. They chased down 406 in Guwahati to win the second ODI by eight wickets, with 39 balls to spare.
Shubman Gill has been the star of the series. The captain smashed an unbeaten 223 in the Guwahati chase and has a chance to break his own record for most runs in a three-match bilateral series.
India will rejig their bowling attack. Prasidh Krishna is out with a left hamstring injury and Anshul Kamboj has joined the squad. Mohammed Siraj could finally get a game in the dead rubber.
